# Adding Contacts Manually

In this article, we’ll go through the exact steps to create a new contact manually from the WANotifier interface.

### How to Add a Contact Manually 

1. Open the [__Contacts page__ ](https://app.wanotifier.com/contacts/add/)and click on the **Add New Contact** button in the top-right corner.

2. This will open a pop-up with multiple form fields where you can enter details about your contact:
* **First Name**: Enter the first name of the contact.
* **Last Name**: Enter the last name of the contact.
* **WhatsApp Number**: Enter the contact’s WhatsApp number. Make sure the phone number includes the country code in this format: +91XXXXXXXXXX.
* **Status**: Select whether the contact should be **Subscribed** or **Unsubscribed** from the [bulk broadcasts](https://help.wanotifier.com/en/article/create-a-bulk-broadcast-notification-1hes042/) you send. Note that bulk brodcasts are sent only to contacts marked as Subscribed, and are skipped for those marked as Unsubscribed.
* **Contact List**: Select the contact list where you want to save this contact. If you don’t see any lists, click on **Add new list** to create one.
* **Tags**: Add tags to categorize the contact.
* **Custom Attributes**: Add custom attributes such as website_url, city, state, date_of_birth, or any other information you want to store for the contact. Click on the + **Add** button to add more custom attributes.
3. After you’ve filled in all the details, click the **Add Contact** button at the bottom to save the contact.
