# Fix: Phone Number Status Showing RESTRICTED

Has your phone number status changed to **“RESTRICTED”** in WANotifier?

Let’s look at why this happens and what you can do to resolve it.

### Why does your phone number get restricted?

Your phone number status changes to **RESTRICTED** when you reach your current messaging limit.

This means you’ve sent the maximum number of messages allowed for your account within a 24-hour period.

Note that while your status is **RESTRICTED**, you cannot send any outgoing messages until 24 hours have passed. 

However, you **can still reply to any incoming messages** sent during this period.

### How to restore your phone number status

You don’t need to take any specific action to restore your phone number status in this case. The **RESTRICTED** status will automatically lift 24 hours after you reach your messaging limit.

To prevent future restrictions, we suggest that you:
