# Segment Leads from Click-to-WhatsApp Ads (CTWA)

In this article, we’ll show you how to add leads from your Click-to-WhatsApp (CTWA) ads to your contact lists and organize them using tags.

Before you begin, make sure you’ve **completed your WANotifier setup and connected your phone number to the WhatsApp Business API**. If you haven’t done that yet, follow the guide below:

Once your setup is complete, follow the steps below to segment leads from your CTWA campaigns.

### How to Segment Leads from Click-to-WhatsApp Ads

1. To get started, click on \*\*Contacts \*\*in the left sidebar menu and select \*\*Lists \*\*from the dropdown.

2. On the **Contact Lists** page, click the **Add New** button at the top. This will open a pop-up.

3. In the pop-up, enter a name for your list (e.g., *CTWA Leads – July*) and click on the \*\*Save changes \*\*button to save the list.

4. Next, locate your **phone number** and click the arrow next to it to open the dropdown. Then, click on the \*\*Settings icon \*\*next to your phone number.

5. Once you’re on the Settings page, click the **Click to WhatsApp Ads** tab in the top menu.

6. In the Click to WhatsApp Ads tab, select the contact list you just created as your **DEFAULT CONTACT LIST**. You can also add a **default tag** to categorize the leads further, like “hot lead.”

7. Finally, click on the \*\*Save Changes \*\*button to apply these settings.

Once you’ve completed this setup, leads from your Click-to-WhatsApp ads will be automatically added to the contact list of your choice and tagged accordingly.
