WANotifier offers a range of automation tools to help you manage customer conversations, streamline follow-ups, and deliver a better customer experience on WhatsApp.

Using our automation tools, you can:

  • Automatically greet customers and let them know when you’re available.
  • Allow users to manage their opt-in and out preferences for your messages and newsletters
  • Send instant replies to frequently asked questions.
  • Automate conversations at scale with interactive chatbots.
  • Set up drip sequences to onboard new users or re-engage existing contacts.

You can access Automations in the left sidebar menu by selecting the feature you want to set up.

Below is an overview of the automation features available in WANotifier:

Basic Automations: Greeting, Delay, and Out-of-Office Messages

This feature lets you send basic automated responses to improve customer interactions and manage expectations when you’re unavailable or unable to reply immediately.

Basic automations include:

  • Greeting message: Automatically sends a welcome message when a customer messages you for the first time or after a period of inactivity.
  • Delay in response: Sends an automatic message if there’s a delay in your reply, reassuring customers that you’ll get back to them soon.
  • Out-of-office message: Automatically sends a response when someone messages you outside your business hours.

Automatically Subscribe and Unsubscribe Contacts

In addition to greeting, delay, and out-of-office messages, the Basic Automations screen also includes options to automate how customers opt in or out of your messaging or WhatsApp newsletter lists.

To set them up, you need to configure keywords like “START” or “STOP” and include them in your messages.

For example, you could tell customers, “Reply with STOP at any time to unsubscribe from updates.” When they send the word “STOP,” they will automatically be unsubscribed and stop receiving your messages. If they later send “START,” they’ll automatically be resubscribed to your messaging list.

Auto-Replies

This feature lets you automatically respond to FAQs about pricing, support, and other common inquiries.

To set this up, you need to configure trigger words for topics you receive frequent queries about, like “pricing” or “support,” and create a response for each. Once that’s done, the system will automatically send the corresponding response whenever a message contains a trigger keyword or phrase.

WhatsApp Chatbots

This feature lets you build chatbots to automate real-time conversations and workflows in WhatsApp using a simple drag-and-drop bot builder.

Here’s a glimpse of the key components you’ll use when creating your own chatbot:

  • Nodes: These are the building blocks of a bot’s logic and represent the different actions or decisions your bot can make.
  • Edges: These are the connecting lines that you can use to connect various nodes.
  • Handles: These are the points where edges connect to nodes, determining the direction of your conversation flow.

WhatsApp Drip Sequences

This feature lets you send a series of pre-scheduled WhatsApp messages over time to nurture, onboard, or re-engage users.

Drip sequences are useful for various purposes, such as onboarding new customers with a series of helpful tips, following up with leads, or sending reminders to users who haven’t completed a purchase.

For step-by-step instructions on setting up drip sequences, refer to the guide below:
