Track and Analyze Chatbot Sessions
The Bot Sessions page lets you monitor how users interact with your chatbots. You can use this page to view session details for a specific chatbot, such as:
- Contact details of the user who initiated the conversation
- Session status (Started, Ongoing, Waiting, or Completed)
- The session’s start time and last activity time.
You can also stop an ongoing chatbot session if needed.
To open this page, click on the Analytics & Reports option in the left sidebar menu and select the Bot Sessions from the dropdown.
This is what you will see when you open the page (your view will be based on your chatbot activity in your account):
Let’s take a closer look at this page.
Select a Bot
At the top of the page, you’ll see the SELECT A BOT dropdown. You can use this to select the chatbot you want to analyze. It will allow you to see the contact details of users who interacted with that bot, with session-specific information like the status of the conversation, as well as the start and last activity time.
Bot Sessions Report
Once you select a bot, the Bot Sessions Report table will display the list of users who have interacted with that bot.
If you want to view the sessions of a particular contact, use the search field above the table. You can also filter sessions by chatbot status using the Filter by Status dropdown in the top-right corner.
For each session, you’ll see the following details:
- Contact: The name and phone number of the user who initiated the conversation.
- Status: Indicates whether the session is Started, Ongoing, Waiting, or Completed.
- Start Time: The exact date and time when the session began.
- Last Activity: The most recent interaction time within the session.
- Actions: If a session is active, you’ll see a Stop button here that lets you manually end the session. Please note that the Stop button is only visible when the session status is either “Ongoing” or “Waiting,” and will not appear once the session is marked as “Completed.”
Now that you know how to track chatbot sessions, let’s look at how to measure the performance of your drip sequences.
