WhatsApp API Usage
The WhatsApp API Usage page provides a high-level overview of your WhatsApp messaging delivery statistics and API usage costs for a selected date range. You can track the number of messages sent and delivered, along with the associated API costs, using visual charts and summary panels.
To open this page, click on Analytics & Reports in the left sidebar menu and select the WhatsApp API Usage option from the dropdown.

Let’s look at this page in greater detail:
Select Date Range
At the top of the page, you’ll see the SELECT DATE RANGE dropdown. You can use this to specify the period for which you want to view analytics.

By default, the date range is set from the 1st of the current month to the current date you are viewing the analytics.
WhatsApp API Usage
Located right below the SELECT DATE RANGE dropdown, the WhatsApp API Usage panel provides a summary of your message delivery stats and the total costs incurred for sending different types of messages over the selected date range. It includes the following metrics:
Message Delivery Stats:
- Marketing: This is the total number of marketing messages you’ve sent during the specified date range with the charges incurred.
- Utility: This is the total number of utility messages along with the charges incurred.
- Authentication: This is the total number of authentication messages along with the charges incurred.
- Service: This is the total number of incoming messages you’ve received during the specified date range.
Messages:
- Sent: This is the total number of messages sent during the specified date range.
- Delivered: This is the total number of messages that were delivered successfully during the specified date range.

Category Wise Message Delivery
This section provides a daily breakdown of message deliveries by category. The bar chart shows how many messages of each type were delivered on a given day, enabling you to track your messaging activity across the selected period.

All Messages
Located to the right of the Category-wise Message Delivery section, the All Messages panel shows the total number of messages sent and actually delivered from your account within the selected date range.

Paid Message Delivery
Located just below the Category-wise message delivery block, this panel shows the total number of paid messages you sent during the selected date range, along with the charges incurred.

Free Message Delivery
Located next to the Paid Conversations panel, this section displays the total number of free customer service messages you sent during the selected period.
