Create Marketing Broadcast Notifications

You can send bulk broadcast marketing messages to multiple contacts at once for promotional or informational purposes by creating a Notification with type Marketing.

Some common use cases for Marketing Notifications include:

  • Announcing limited-time discounts or special promotions.
  • Sharing product launches or new arrivals.
  • Sending invitations for events, webinars, or live sessions.
  • Promoting seasonal sales or exclusive deals.
  • Updating customers about company news.

In this article, we’ll show you how to create a Marketing Notification to support these use cases.

Step 1: Open the Notifications Section

Go to the Notifications section in the left sidebar menu and select Add New from the dropdown.

Step 2: Select Notification Category

On the Add Notification screen:

  • Enter a notification title. This will be used to save and identify your Notification within the system.
  • Select the Marketing Notification type.

Step 3: Select a Contact List

Select a contact list from your saved lists to send the notification. If you want to include or exclude certain contacts from receiving the Notification, use the INCLUDE/EXCLUDE TAGS option.

For example, if you only want to send the Notification to contacts tagged as “paid ad” within your “Website Leads” contact list, select the “paid ad” tag from the INCLUDE TAGS dropdown to target only those contacts.

Step 4: Schedule the Notification

You can choose to send your Notification immediately or schedule it for a later time. If you choose to schedule, you’ll need to specify a date and time for the notification to be sent.

Step 5: Select a Message Template

Select a pre-approved message template that you want to use for this Notification.

Step 6: Configure Advanced Settings

Once you’ve selected a message template, proceed to the Advanced Settings section to setup more advanced options for your notification:

  1. Retry failed messages

The first option in this section allows you to improve your message delivery rates by setting up automatic retries for failed messages.

You can specify up to three retry intervals. The system will wait for the specified time before attempting to resend the failed message. Note that you must enter a value for the first interval; additional retries are optional.

  1. Unsubscribe contacts if message sending fails for them

You can enable this option if you want contacts to be marked as Unsubscribed automatically when message delivery fails. This will prevent future messages from being sent to these contacts.

  1. Add tags based on delivery status

You can also add tags to your contacts based on the delivery status of the message: sent, delivered, read, or failed. This will help you segment contacts for follow-ups or future campaigns.

  1. Get delivery report summary via email

If you want to receive a summary of the delivery report by email, enter the wait time in hours.

The system will wait for the specified period after the notification is complete and then send the delivery report summary to your email address.

Next, we’ll show you how to create a Transactional Notification.
