ERROR: Phone Number Status: FLAGGED / Business account has been locked
If you see Phone Number Status as FLAGGED in your Dashboard and you are getting the error Business account has been locked when trying to send messages, then this article will help you resolve the issue.
This usually happens when your recipients are reporting your messages as spam, in turn WhatsApp restricts the account as a warning. As a preventive measure, it is important to note that you should only send messages to those who have opted in to receive messages from you.
How to fix this and get your account restored?
You can fix this issue by raising a review request on WhatsApp Manager.
- Open WhatsApp Manager. If it asks you to select a business account, select the one you used earlier to setup you number.
- Now scroll to your FLAGGED WhatsApp Business Account and click on the View details in business support home link.
- On the page that opens, select the issue and then click on Request Review button.
- In the popup that comes explain to them that you were not doing SPAM. If you were indeed doing SPAM, apologize for the same and promise that you won't do it again. Then submit the form.
They usually review the request within 6 hours and enable the account.
